Audible says audiobooks purchased with a credit or cash are yours to keep after you cancel. By contrast, a title from the Plus Catalog is available while you have an active eligible membership and while that title remains in the catalog. A Standard monthly selection also stops being available when that membership ends.
Before cancelling
Use this short checklist.
- Check your Credit Summary. Audible states that unused membership credits are forfeited at the end of the final billing cycle. Use or account for them first.
- Separate purchases from included titles. Look for titles you redeemed with a credit or paid for; those are the titles Audible says remain available after cancellation.
- Finish any time-sensitive included title. A Plus Catalog title may leave the catalog even while you remain a member. Audible displays an “Included until” label when a departure is imminent.
- Check how you were billed. Audible documents different credit-expiration and cancellation treatment for some App Store and Google Play credits. Do not assume a web-billed membership rule applies to you.
If you need a temporary break rather than a final cancellation, first check whether your account can pause an Audible membership and what access will change while it is paused.

Do Audible credits expire?

Can a Plus Catalog audiobook disappear while I am still a member?
Yes. Audible says catalog availability can change. It notes an “Included until” label when a title is scheduled to leave in the next month.
